Suggested Use
Take 1 capsule 2 to 4 times daily, or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.
Refrigeration recommended after opening.
Cautions and Interactions:
- Individuals with bipolar (manic) depression should not take SAMe unless under professional medical supervision.
- There have been reports of SAMe interacting with anti-depressant medications and increasing the potential for side effects including headache, irregular or accelerated heart rate, anxiety, and restlessness.
- SAMe may affect the body's reactions to Levodopa used for Parkinson's disease. However, it might also reduce its effectiveness over time.
- People taking SAMe should supplement its use with a multivitamin that contains folic acid and vitamins B12 and B6.*
